The essentials: a speed rope with knurled metal handles of 14 cm / 5.5 in and a PVC-coated braided steel cable of 3 m / 9 ft 10 in, on ball bearings. Supplied with its drawstring storage bag and a free gift. Adjustable length. Five colours: black, silver, blue, red, green. €19, free standard shipping.
A speed rope rarely ends well in a kit bag: it tangles with the wraps, the end caps scratch a phone screen, and the cable comes out bent. This one arrives with its drawstring pouch, which settles that from the moment you unpack it.
It is the rope to take if you train somewhere other than home: club, gym, work travel, outdoor session.
The storage bag changes how you use it
It is not a decorative extra. Coiled inside its pouch, the cable takes no permanent kink: a coated steel cable left compressed at a sharp angle keeps the memory of that twist and then skips on every rotation.
The pouch also stops the metal end caps rubbing against the rest of the bag, and lets you find the rope in three seconds instead of untangling it from the straps. A gift is also included in the parcel.
Knurled metal handles of 14 cm
The handles are 14 cm / 5.5 in, a deliberately compact format that goes with pouch storage: less bulk, less mass at the end of the arm, and a rope that slides into an already full bag.
They are metal, with raised knurling along the whole length. That cross texture holds the palm without gripping hard, which saves the forearm on long sets. The end caps house the ball bearings that let the cable turn through 360° without dragging the handle or building up twist.
A 3 m cable, for every height
The cable is supplied at 3 metres / 9 ft 10 in, a length covering every adult build, including over 1.90 m / 6 ft 3 in. It therefore arrives deliberately too long for most people: bring it to your measure with the clamping screws, then cut the surplus or coil it.

The right floor for a coated steel cable. Aim for wood, a training mat, tatami or a rubber surface: these preserve the coating and give a more consistent rebound. Tarmac and bare concrete are abrasive and attack the coating.

Frequently asked questions
Is the storage bag really included?
Yes, a drawstring pouch, plus a free gift in the parcel. It is what stops the rope tangling with the rest of the kit and the end caps rubbing against everything else.
Why keep a skipping rope in a pouch?
So the cable takes no permanent kink. A coated steel cable left compressed at a sharp angle keeps the memory of the twist and then skips on every rotation. Coiled loosely in a pouch, it stays straight.
How long is the cable?
3 m / 9 ft 10 in, which covers every adult build, including over 1.90 m / 6 ft 3 in. It arrives deliberately long: set it with the clamping screws, then cut the surplus once you are sure.
What is the difference with the metal skipping rope?
The bag. Both share the 3 m / 9 ft 10 in steel cable, the 14 cm / 5.5 in metal handles and the ball bearings. This one adds the drawstring pouch and comes in five colours; the metal rope comes in seven.
Is it suitable for double unders?
Yes. The ball bearings let the cable turn without dragging the handle, so there is no twist building up between sets and no tight spot breaking the cadence.
Can it be used outdoors?
On a smooth surface, yes — and the pouch is what makes it practical to carry. Aim for wood, a mat, tatami or rubber: these preserve the coating. Tarmac and bare concrete are abrasive.
