On 22 November 1986, at the Las Vegas Hilton, Mike Tyson stopped Trevor Berbick in the second round and took the WBC world heavyweight title. He was twenty years and four months old: no one has ever taken the heavyweight crown younger, and the record still stands. The belts he wears on this mat are the ones he began collecting that night, before unifying the WBC, WBA and IBF titles in under eighteen months.
