On 5 May 2007, Floyd Mayweather walked into the MGM Grand against Oscar De La Hoya, then the biggest draw in boxing. He took a split decision, and the fight sold 2.48 million pay-per-view buys, a record at the time. From that night on, Mayweather was the highest-paid athlete in sport.

What the camouflage gives you
The pattern covers the crown, the brim and the rear panels, in four tones of green, sand and brown. At three metres you see the pattern first, then the logo stitched over it. THE MONEY TEAM sits beneath the three letters in the same colour, and a second TMT is stitched at the back above the closure. The under-brim is green.

How do you wash a camouflage cap?
By hand, lukewarm water at 30 °C / 86 °F maximum, mild soap, with no chlorine product that would lighten the greens. Dry in the shade over something round to hold the 13 cm / 5.1 in crown.
Does the pattern line up across the seams?
Yes. It is printed on the cloth before assembly rather than applied afterwards, so it runs continuously from panel to panel, over the brim and around the back.
