One hundred and fifteen grams, and free fingers
The glove here is not a boxing glove. An MMA glove weighs about 4 oz / 115 g — against 8 to 16 oz / 226 to 450 g for a boxing glove — and leaves the fingers open. The reason is functional, not aesthetic: a fighter has to grip, hold and grapple, which a closed glove prevents.
The padding is concentrated over the knuckles and protects the hand that throws; it barely protects the head that receives, which is why knockouts are more frequent than in boxing for the same striking surface. The 4 oz rule has been set by the athletic commissions that regulate the sport since its early days.

Worth knowing: no face, no fighter — this is the MMA canvas to choose when you do not want to put a person on the wall. The black ground asks for a light wall so the edge of the canvas stays visible. One object, legible at any size
The glove fills the frame and stands out from deep black, so the canvas holds from 20 × 30 cm / 8 × 12 in upwards — one of the few in the collection that works on a narrow wall or a cupboard door. A dry microfibre cloth handles almost everything. For a mark that stays, use a barely damp cloth with no detergent, wiping across the surface. No abrasive sponge, no glass cleaner.
