Wladimir Klitschko became super heavyweight Olympic champion at Atlanta in 1996. His brother Vitali, injured, did not fight those Games. As a professional he held world heavyweight titles continuously from 2006 to 2015.
Across his career he made the second highest number of heavyweight world title defences, behind Joe Louis. His last fight, on 29 April 2017 at Wembley, was the one that drew 90,000 people against Anthony Joshua.
