Rocky Balboa trains in Philadelphia in the 1976 film, and it is that city the print carries: BALBOA — PHILADELPHIA, PA — BOXING CLUB — 19 (USA) 47, the year the character was born. Three prints to choose from, two of them versions of that type block and a third built on the name ROCKY BALBOA.
Three prints, three living rooms
Balboa Boxing Club black and gold: the distressed gold block fills the whole face on black, framed full bleed, BALBOA and BOXING CLUB running off left and right — a flyposted look. At three metres / ten feet you see a black and gold rectangle, at one metre / three feet you read PHILADELPHIA, PA.
Balboa Boxing Club white and gold: the same block, complete and centred on white, in ochre gold. All four lines sit inside the frame, PHILADELPHIA, PA and 19 (USA) 47 included.
Rocky Balboa Italian Stallion: the name ROCKY BALBOA in full width capitals, the letters filled with a photograph in falling snow, with the ITALIAN STALLION band and the stallion head crest at the centre. Two tones, grey and white on black.

Which insert to buy
Take an insert 2 cm / 0.8 in larger than the cover so it stays taut and the block sits flat. The full cover-versus-insert guide and the square size chart live on our boxing cushion cover listing.
Good to know before ordering
This is a cover, not a cushion. The parcel holds the printed cover on its own; inserts are sold in every home store for a few pounds. Our UFC belt cushion ships filled.
The black and gold print is framed full bleed. On that version the block runs off the frame left and right: it is the intended look, a poster pasted on a wall. The white and gold holds all four lines inside the frame.
Printed on the front face. The reverse is plain, so the cover has a right side when two are placed facing each other.
FAQ
Is the cushion insert included?
No, the parcel holds the printed cover with its invisible zip. Buy an insert to the cover size, ideally 2 cm / 0.8 in larger, for a taut finish with square corners.
Which prints are available?
Three. The BALBOA — PHILADELPHIA, PA — BOXING CLUB — 19 (USA) 47 block in gold on black, the same in ochre gold on white, and ROCKY BALBOA — ITALIAN STALLION, capitals filled with a photograph in falling snow with a stallion head crest.
Does every print come in every size?
No. White and gold covers all seven sizes, 30 to 66 cm / 12 to 26 in. Black and gold runs 30 to 50 cm / 12 to 20 in, and Rocky Balboa Italian Stallion comes in 45 and 50 cm / 18 and 20 in. For 55 cm / 22 in and above, choose white and gold.
Why is Rocky called the Italian Stallion?
It is the ring name the character carries from the first film in 1976, an Italian American club fighter out of Philadelphia. The stallion head crest printed at the centre of that version is the emblem that goes with the name.
Is it printed on both sides?
One face is printed and the reverse is plain, which is the standard on a decorative cover and lets you flip the cushion when you want the quiet side out.
How do I wash it without damaging the print?
Machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F, cover turned inside out, no bleach, then line dry. That keeps the gold bright and the fabric on size, so the cover slips back onto its insert without a fight.
