Headgear: thirty-two years of the amateur ring
Headgear became compulsory in men's Olympic boxing at the 1984 Los Angeles Games. AIBA removed it in 2013, and at Rio 2016 the men boxed bare-headed for the first time in thirty-two years.

What you get
A boxer standing with a high guard, headgear and gloves moulded in antique silver, set against the word BOXING running vertically in solid copper letters from top to bottom. The bevelled base carries a round star medallion, also in copper, on its front face.
What the photograph does not tell you: the piece is narrow and only 3.5 cm / 1.4 in deep. Display it face-on or three-quarters to the left so BOXING stays readable from an angle; from behind, the lettering disappears behind the fighter.
