Blue snake fight shorts

In short: A green snake coiled on a ground of blue and gold peacock feathers. The most worked design in the collection, and the only one on a blue dominant. 8 sizes, XS to 4XL. €39.
The snake and the peacock, two opposite strategies
The ground here is not neutral: those are peacock feathers. And the peacock and the snake illustrate two opposite ways of handling a confrontation.
The peacock spreads, fills the visual space and impresses without touching. The snake does the reverse: it coils, makes itself small, and strikes once. Both exist in a ring — the fighter who comes forward gesturing, and the one who stays compact and waits for the opening.
What the shorts look like
Midnight blue ground covered in peacock feathers with blue and gold eyes, worked as a gradient. On the right leg, a large coiled green snake, scales picked out in detail, head raised. A side slit lined in bright green cuts against the dark ground.
The waistband is midnight blue. Sublimated print, dense across the whole surface.
The only blue-dominant short in the MMA range
The fight shorts in this collection run black, grey, red and green. This is the only one built on a midnight blue, and the only one whose design covers the entire surface rather than one leg.
The visual consequence: there is no neutral zone for the eye to rest on, which makes the short recognisable at a glance and hard to mistake for another. For the full detail of the fight short cut, see the grey geometric fight short.

Worth knowing: an all-over print with no neutral zone is the hardest treatment to confuse with another short on a card. It is also the only blue dominant in the MMA range.
Getting the size right
European cut — take your usual size. Eight sizes, XS to 4XL, where most of the market stops at XXL on a fight short. The print covers the whole surface and is scaled per size, so the snake holds the same proportion from XS to 4XL. The drawcord takes up a change in waist measurement. In a groin guard, go one size up.

- To complete the kit: boxing t-shirts and boxing hoodies.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference with the other snake shorts in the collection?
This one carries a realistic coiled snake across an all-over peacock-feather ground; the cobra shorts carry a stylised head on one leg; the snake-head range carries a logo rather than an animal. This is the only blue dominant of the three families.
What is the difference between MMA shorts and boxing shorts?
An MMA short is built for the ground as well as the feet. It runs longer, to just above the knee, with a side slit on each leg so a closed guard and a leg pass do not bind the hip, and a flat drawcord waistband that stays tied when an opponent pulls on it. Boxing shorts have none of that.
Do these fit true to size?
Yes. European cut — take your usual size. Eight sizes run XS to 4XL. The drawcord takes up a change in waist measurement. If you train in a groin guard, go one size up.
Does the print wear off in the wash?
No. The design is sublimated into the fibre rather than laid on top of it, so there is no layer to crack or peel on the mat. Wash inside out at 30 °C / 86 °F and skip the fabric softener.
Do these come in big and tall sizes?
Yes, up to 4XL. Most of the market stops at XXL on a fight short.
How do you wash MMA shorts?
Machine wash inside out at 30 °C / 86 °F, no tumble dryer, and no iron on the design. Avoid fabric softener: it coats the weave and slows how fast sweat moves through it.
