Diagonal zip boxing hoodie

- Regular price€39,00

The essentials: the hoodie was built for the sideline, not for the effort: this one opens all the way. Full-length contrast diagonal zip, matching hood lining, zipped chest pocket. Worn open over a tee once you arrive, closed on the way there, with your phone staying put in the zipped pocket. 3 colours, 6 sizes from S to XXXL, European cut — take your usual size. €39, free standard shipping.
The hoodie was invented for the sideline
The garment appears in the 1930s at Champion, in Rochester, first for cold-storage warehouse workers in upstate New York. In 1934 the University of Michigan asked the company to kit out its sports teams.
The use was specific then and has not changed: you wear it between sessions, on the bench, before the effort and after — not during. It is a temperature garment, not a training one.
The diagonal zip is not just a styling trick
A straight zip runs up under the chin and gets in the way the moment you lower your head. The diagonal line moves the closure to the side of the neck: the collar can sit higher without pressing on your throat, which matters when you pull it on soaked after a session.
Here the zip runs all the way to the hem, cutting across the body. Open, it frees the whole torso; closed, it shuts the collar.
The artwork
The official Esprit Boxe logo is printed across the back, high between the shoulder blades, and repeated small on the left chest.
The real signature is elsewhere: the contrast diagonal zip and the matching hood lining — black zip on the white, red zip and red hood on both the grey and the black.
The garment
Full-length diagonal zip, hood lined in a contrasting fabric with matching drawcords, zipped chest pocket on the right side. Ribbed cuffs and hem. Straight cut, set-in long sleeves.

Our advice: this is the one in the range that opens completely, so it is the one you can adjust: closed at the collar on the way there, open over a tee once you arrive. The zipped chest pocket is the only one in the house range that shuts on a phone.
Your size
European cut — take your usual size, with no Asian sizing conversion to apply. Six sizes, S to XXXL (XXXL is the same as 3XL), same price across all three colourways.

Frequently asked questions
Zip up or pullover hoodie: which is better for training?
A zip-through opens the whole way down: on and off without going over your head, worn open over a tee, and you regulate temperature mid-session. A pullover only goes on or comes off, with nothing in between.
Why is the zip diagonal?
Because a straight zip stops under the chin and digs in as soon as you lower your head. The diagonal line moves the closure to the side of the neck, so the collar sits higher without pressing on the throat. The zip runs right down to the hem.
What size should I order?
European cut — take your usual size. Six sizes, S to XXXL. Worn over training kit, go one size up.
What colours does it come in?
Three, each with a contrasting zip and hood lining: white with a black zip, grey with a red zip and black with a red zip. Same price on all three.
Where is the logo?
Across the back, high between the shoulder blades, and repeated small on the left chest. The back print reads from across the gym, the chest block only in conversation.
How do you wash a printed zip hoodie?
The artwork is applied by heat transfer on PET film, so it holds through the wash without flaking. Machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F inside out, no tumble dryer, no iron on the print and no fabric softener.
