In short: The Fairtex short in deep red, with the cursive logo worked tone on tone and a camouflage trim along the leg splits. Two versions available. 8 sizes, XS to 4XL. €59.
Tone on tone, and the only camouflage in the Thai range
Fairtex has equipped Thai camps and professional fighters for decades, and its shorts run longer in the leg than the Thai average — the detail practitioners look for in the brand.
This version does something the others do not: the cursive logo is worked tone on tone, a slightly darker red on the red ground. Close up it is unmistakable; from the seats the short reads as a clean block of colour rather than a badge.
The camouflage trim along the splits is the only pattern of its kind across the Muay Thai range.
What the shorts look like
Deep red ground. The cursive logo is worked tone on tone, in a darker red on the red, so it is legible close up without dominating the silhouette. The leg splits and the hem are edged with a grey and black camouflage trim, the only motif of its kind in the Thai range.
The wide elastic waistband is red. Satin finish.
Why a tone-on-tone logo reads differently at distance
A logo outlined in a contrasting colour is designed to be read across a hall. Worked tone on tone it does the opposite: at three metres you see a red short, at one metre you see the script. The camouflage trim is what carries the outline instead, and it follows the side splits.
The geometry underneath is the standard Fairtex one: high split over the hip, leg cut a little longer than the Thai average.

Worth knowing: if you want the brand without the badge doing the talking, this is the version — the logo is there, worked into the ground rather than printed over it. The dominant red also works in your favour in the red corner.
Getting the size right
European cut — take your usual size. Thai-made shorts are sized to the Thai market, which is why almost every seller tells you to order one size up. These are cut to European sizing, so that correction does not apply. Eight sizes, XS to 4XL, where most of the market stops at XXL. If you train in a groin guard, go one size up.
Also worth a look
- Fairtex Muay Thai shorts — black or white with the cursive logo outlined, if you want the classic colourway.
- Fairtex pink Muay Thai shorts — pink with silver scrollwork, if you want the only pink short in the range.
- Desert camo fight shorts — desert camouflage across the whole garment, if you want camouflage as the main design rather than as a trim.
- To complete the kit: boxing t-shirts and boxing hoodies.
- To gear up: boxing gloves, mouthguards and hand wraps.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the three Fairtex shorts?
The ground and the way the logo is treated. Black or white carries the cursive logo outlined in a contrasting colour with a gold dragon; pink carries it in white with silver scrollwork; this red version works it tone on tone with a camouflage trim. All three share the same longer leg and high split.
What size Muay Thai shorts should I get?
Take your usual size. These are cut to European sizing, so the standard advice to order one size up — which applies to Thai-made shorts — does not apply here. Eight sizes run XS to 4XL. If you train in a groin guard, go one size up.
What is the difference between Muay Thai shorts and kickboxing shorts?
Length. Muay Thai shorts stop above the knee with a high side split; kickboxing and K-1 shorts sit lower. Clearing the knee frees the head kick and the clinch.
Can you wear Muay Thai shorts for boxing?
Yes. The short leg and high split take nothing away from footwork, and plenty of boxers train in them. The one difference is the low-blow line: boxing shorts mark it with a waistband above the navel, Thai shorts do not.
Do these come in big and tall sizes?
Yes, up to 4XL. Most of the market stops at XXL on a pair of Thai shorts.
How do you wash Muay Thai shorts?
Machine wash inside out at 30 °C / 86 °F, no tumble dryer, and never put an iron directly on the design. Skip the fabric softener: it coats the weave and slows how fast sweat moves through it.
