Ninety thousand people at Wembley
On 29 April 2017, Anthony Joshua fought Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in front of 90,000 people — the largest crowd for a boxing match in the United Kingdom since the war.
The fight turned twice. Joshua put Klitschko down in the fifth, then was counted himself in the sixth, exhausted and close to being stopped. He came back, landed a right uppercut in the eleventh that put the Ukrainian down twice, and the referee waved it off. Klitschko, 41, never boxed again. That uppercut is the scene at the foot of this canvas.
What you see
Portrait format. The upper half is taken by a face in extreme close-up, painted in deep blue and white, over a ground where the crosses of the Union Jack show through in red and blue. The lower half carries the fight: two boxers mid exchange, the one on the right throwing the uppercut and the one on the left taking it with his head thrown back, worked in ochre, red and turquoise.
The two planes blend with no hard division. From 3 m / 10 ft you read a blue face and a flag; from 1 m / 3 ft the scene below comes into detail.

Worth knowing: two levels of reading on one canvas — a face from a distance, a fight scene up close. From 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in the exchange at the bottom reads from a sofa. Frames are sold separately: wooden frame up to 100 cm / 39 in per side, XXL wooden frame from 110 to 200 cm / 43 to 79 in, or aluminium frame in 8 finishes.
Two levels of reading on one canvas
The face fills the upper half and carries from across a room; the fight fills the lower half and asks you to come closer. Below 50 × 70 cm / 20 × 28 in the exchange stops reading and only the portrait remains. From 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in both planes work together from a sofa. The size chart by wall type covers the other placements room by room.

Frequently asked questions
What happened at Wembley on 29 April 2017?
Anthony Joshua beat Wladimir Klitschko in the eleventh round in front of 90,000 people. Joshua put Klitschko down in the fifth, was floored himself in the sixth, and finished it with a right uppercut in the eleventh. It was Klitschko's last fight.
What size canvas should I hang above a sofa?
The working rule is about two thirds of the width of the furniture below it, centred 145 cm / 57 in from the floor. Over a 200 cm / 79 in three-seater, that means 80 × 120 cm / 31 × 47 in; over a two-seater, 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in; in a hallway, 30 × 45 cm / 12 × 18 in. The full size chart by wall type is on the Ali vs Liston 1965 page.
How many scenes are on this canvas?
Two, blended into each other. Above, a face in extreme close-up painted in blue over the crosses of the Union Jack. Below, the exchange: the boxer on the right lands the uppercut, the one on the left takes it with his head thrown back.
What wall does this canvas suit?
A plain light wall. The deep blue of the portrait and the red of the flag carry against white or grey plaster; on a patterned wall the two planes of the composition compete with the background.
Does the canvas come with a frame?
No, the canvas ships on its own, rolled in a protective tube. Frames are sold separately: wooden frame up to 100 cm / 39 in per side, XXL wooden frame from 110 to 200 cm / 43 to 79 in, or aluminium frame in 8 finishes. The wooden kits are 2.5 cm / 1 in thick and come with instructions.
How do I clean a canvas print?
A dry microfibre cloth handles almost everything. For a mark that stays, use a barely damp cloth with no detergent, wiping across the surface. No abrasive sponge, no glass cleaner.
