The essentials: a reflex ball on a soft perforated PVC headband, adjustable from 49 to 62 cm / 19 to 24 in of head circumference. Available with a single ball or as a set of 2 or 3 balls of different hardness, to change the rebound from one session to the next. Adjustable cord. From €15 to €29 depending on the configuration. Free standard shipping.
This model is built around a soft PVC headband: it wipes clean with a cloth, dries at once and keeps its shape session after session. It is the one to choose when the kit is shared between several people, or when you train back to back with no drying time.
A headband adjustable from 49 to 62 cm / 19 to 24 in
That is a wide range, covering a child's head as much as an adult with long or tied-back hair. Adjustment is by notches, with no elastic to slacken over time: the setting is identical from one session to the next.
The band is perforated along its whole length. Those openings let air through and avoid the sealed-band feeling on the forehead that plastics are often criticised for. The attachment is a metal ring at the side.
One, two or three balls
This is the other thing that sets the model apart: you choose how many balls come with it. Each behaves differently.
| Configuration | Contents | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 ball | Yellow tennis, red dimpled or black dimpled | The essentials, one type of rebound |
| Set of 2 | Red + black, or black + yellow tennis | Alternating two hardnesses within a session |
| Set of 3 | Yellow tennis + red + black | The full range of rebounds, complete progression |
Why several balls? Because the rebound decides what you are training. A softer ball builds the movement and lets you put volume in; a denser one comes back faster and trains pure reaction. Changing ball mid-session raises the difficulty without altering anything else.
Setting your reflex ball
This is the step everyone rushes, and the first reason people give up. A badly set cord makes the drill unplayable.
- Place the headband on the forehead, with the attachment centred between the eyebrows.
- Adjust the tension: the band should hold without pressing, even as you move your head.
- Set the cord length so the ball reaches your wrist, arm extended and fist closed.
- Lock the length with a knot, then tuck or trim the surplus.
- Shorten it as you go over the sessions: the shorter the cord, the faster the ball comes back.

Start with the softest ball in the set. Accuracy is built at a moderate pace: put the movement in with the gentlest one, then step up when the contact becomes consistent.

Frequently asked questions
What head sizes does the band fit?
From 49 to 62 cm / 19 to 24 in, adjusted by notches. That covers a child's head as well as an adult with long or tied-back hair, and the setting does not slacken between sessions.
How many balls are included?
It depends on the configuration chosen: 1, 2 or 3. The sets combine balls of different hardness so you can change the rebound within a session.
Why a PVC headband?
It wipes clean with a cloth and dries at once, which is what you want when the kit is shared or when sessions follow one another. It is perforated along its length so air passes through.
What are the perforations for?
Letting air through. They avoid the sealed-band feeling on the forehead, which is the usual criticism of plastic bands, while keeping the shape a fabric band loses over time.
Which ball should I start with?
The softest of the set. Accuracy is built at a moderate pace: a ball that comes back faster than your movement trains the flinch reflex rather than the coordination.
How do you set the cord length?
So the ball reaches your wrist with the arm extended and the fist closed. Lock it with a knot, then shorten it session by session: the shorter the cord, the faster the return.
