A double Olympic champion in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, Vasyl Lomachenko turned professional and contested a world title in his second fight. He won one in his third, in June 2014 at featherweight: nobody had taken a world belt that fast. His father and trainer had him practise traditional Ukrainian dance before letting him box, for the footwork. It is that footwork that earned him the nicknames printed on merchandise bearing his name.
What the visual shows
Plain black ground. A black and white portrait, screened like a print: Vasyl Lomachenko in three-quarter view, fists closed in guard, wraps and glove visible in the foreground. Around the portrait: THE MATRIX arched in white across the top, LOMACHENKO in large gold capitals below the face, WORLD CLASS BOXING CHAMPION arched in white at the bottom, and either side two groups of gold figures, 19 on the left and 87 on the right.

Good to know
Wash cold with dark laundry and no fabric softener: the microfibre keeps its softness and the print its contrast. Low-heat tumble drying brings the loft back after several washes.

Frequently asked questions
What size blanket suits a child?
The 100x75 cm / 39x30 in, particular to this model, suits a seated child or works as a foot-of-bed throw on a 90 cm / 35 in bed. Above it, the 125x100 cm / 49x39 in covers a seated adult. The size guide gives the other match-ups.
How many fights did Lomachenko need to become world champion?
Three. He challenged for a world title in his second professional fight and won one in his third, in June 2014 at featherweight, after Olympic gold in 2008 and 2012.
How do you wash a dark blanket without it bleeding?
Cold, with dark laundry, no softener and no bleach. Avoid ironing directly on the print: the heat of an iron flattens the fibres and dulls the design.
What is the difference between a blanket and a throw?
A bed blanket covers a whole bed and is made to sleep under, usually from 220x240 cm / 87x94 in upwards. A throw is smaller and lighter: you wrap it round you sitting down, or lay it over a sofa or the foot of a bed. The sizes in this range, 125x100 to 200x150 cm / 49x39 to 79x59 in, are made for that second use.
Is the design printed on both sides?
No, on one side only. The reverse is plain and smooth, so the blanket can be turned over when you want a neutral finish on the sofa.
The same world carries on with boxing wall art and the rest of the boxing decoration.
