Decorative rug3 sizes
The essentials. Decorative doormat with VENUM lettering in white on black. Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in, from €19 to €29. Non-slip gripper backing, machine washable.
Venum was founded in France in 2006 by Franck Dupuis and André Vieira, as a European answer to the American and Brazilian brands that held the young MMA market. Fourteen years later, in July 2020, it was announced as the UFC's official outfitter in place of Reebok — a deal since extended to 2029. The snake-head logo on this doormat now appears on every fighter's kit in the largest MMA organisation in the world.
What is printed
The name VENUM in large white capitals running the full width of the mat, with the stylised snake head extending the V. The ground is plain black. It is a brand mark, with no slogan and no figure.
Choosing your size
Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in. The size chart tells you which size matches which door.
Technical specifications
Good to know. The design is monochrome, white on black. On a dark tiled floor the lettering reads from several metres away; on a light floor the black rectangle is what registers first.

Frequently asked questions
What size doormat should I choose?
40 x 60 cm / 16 x 24 in suits a 70 to 80 cm / 28 to 31 in door, 50 x 80 cm / 20 x 31 in a standard 90 cm / 35 in front door, and 60 x 90 cm / 24 x 35 in a double door or a kitchen sink front. Pick a mat slightly wider than the opening, otherwise people step around it instead of on it.
Can a doormat go in the washing machine?
This one can, then dry it flat. Flat drying keeps the gripper backing in shape, which is where every non-slip mat suffers in a tumble dryer.
Is Venum a French brand?
Yes, founded in 2006 by Franck Dupuis and André Vieira. It became the UFC's official outfitter in 2021, following the July 2020 announcement that replaced Reebok, and the partnership runs to 2029.
What does the Venum logo represent?
A stylised snake head built into the V of the name. That logo, rather than a slogan, is what fills the mat.
Can it be used outdoors, in front of the entrance door?
It is built for indoor use: the surface is textile and absorbs moisture rather than scraping soles. Under a covered porch it holds up; in the open rain it stays wet. Its place is a room threshold, a bathroom, a kitchen or a sheltered balcony.
