A dial marked to the minute, readable from the back of the room
Arabic numerals 1 to 12 in large type, doubled by an outer track from 0 to 59: you read the exact minute without counting marks. That is what separates this clock from a decorative dial when you are timing three-minute rounds. At the centre, two crossed gloves in blue and red and the word BOXING, on a white dial.
A boxing clock is not a decorative object by accident. This model carries the logic into the dial itself: a minute-by-minute track, 0 to 59, around the hours.
What the visual shows
A white dial, black Arabic numerals 1 to 12 in large type, doubled by an outer track marked 0 to 59. At the centre, two crossed boxing gloves, one blue and one red, laces visible. Below the gloves, BOXING in serif capitals. Red second hand, black hour and minute hands.
Switched on, the light comes out of the rim of the dial and washes the wall behind the clock. The photographs show it in white, blue, green, yellow, cyan, pink and red.

Good to know. Large black numerals on a white dial, with a minute track. In a room where three-minute rounds are timed, this is the one that reads from the far end.

Frequently asked questions
What size of wall clock should I choose?
For a living space a 30 cm / 12 in dial reads comfortably at 5 to 6 metres / 16 to 20 feet. Below 25 cm / 10 in a clock becomes a desk or hallway object. Set the centre of the dial about 160 cm / 63 in off the floor, at standing eye level.
Does the clock need a battery?
Yes, the quartz movement runs on an AA battery, not supplied. It is separate from the lighting: a backlit clock therefore needs the battery for the hands and the mains for the light.
Does the backlight stay on all the time?
It is independent of the movement: you switch it on when you want, and the clock keeps telling the time with the light off. Used as ambient light, the wash on the wall is enough to read the hands at night.
Why are the gloves blue and red?
Because those are the colours of the two opposite corners. In amateur boxing each fighter wears the colour of his corner, which lets judges tell them apart instantly on video and at ringside.
Is there a model without numerals, more graphic?
Yes, the boxer wall clock has a black dial with no numerals, a boxer built out of words and a silver frame.
