The essentials: the line champions are made in the dark before they're revealed in light in white capitals on black to the right, and to the left a black and white photograph of a boxer seen from behind, gloves hanging at his sides, between the ropes. Landscape format, 10 sizes from 20 × 30 cm / 8 × 12 in to 110 × 160 cm / 43 × 63 in. Frame sold separately. From €19 to €109 depending on size, free standard shipping.
What a training camp actually contains
The line printed here is about what happens away from the lights. In practice, a professional boxer prepares a fight over a camp of eight to twelve weeks, at two sessions a day, six days a week.
The split is much the same from gym to gym: running fasted in the morning, technique and bag work in the middle of the day, sparring two or three times a week, strength and core the rest of the time. Over twelve weeks that is more than 140 sessions for a maximum of thirty-six minutes of fighting. The ratio between invisible work and time under the lights is over two hundred to one.
What you see
Landscape format, split in two. On the left, a black and white photograph: a boxer seen from behind, framed from mid back to mid thigh, dark shorts, arms at his sides with a glove on each hand — one pale, one dark. The ring ropes pass in front of him at hip height.
On the right, on black, the line in white capitals across four lines, with two words set much larger than the rest. No attribution. From 3 m / 10 ft you read the line; from 1 m / 3 ft the glove laces appear.

Worth knowing: no face and no champion named, so this is the text canvas for a shared gym, a club or an office, without imposing a reference. The landscape crop puts it above a bench or a desk at eye level. Frames are sold separately: wooden frame up to 100 cm / 39 in per side, XXL wooden frame from 110 to 200 cm / 43 to 79 in, or aluminium frame in 8 finishes.
Four lines and two words set large
The two very large words — champions and light — carry the canvas at five metres. It is the two intermediate lines, in smaller type, that decide: they read at two metres from 40 × 60 cm / 16 × 24 in, and from a sofa at 70 × 100 cm / 28 × 39 in. The size chart by wall type covers the other placements room by room.

Frequently asked questions
What does the quote on this canvas say?
Champions are made in the dark before they're revealed in light, in white capitals across four lines, with champions and light set much larger than the rest.
How long is a professional fight camp?
Eight to twelve weeks, at two sessions a day six days a week — more than 140 sessions for a maximum of thirty-six minutes in the ring.
What size canvas should I hang above a sofa?
The working rule is about two thirds of the width of the furniture below it, centred 145 cm / 57 in from the floor. Over a 200 cm / 79 in three-seater, that means 80 × 120 cm / 31 × 47 in; over a two-seater, 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in; in a hallway, 30 × 45 cm / 12 × 18 in. The full size chart by wall type is on the Ali vs Liston 1965 page.
Is the text attributed to anyone?
No. There is no name and no signature on the canvas, which is what makes it the text piece for a club or a shared gym: it carries the idea without putting a champion on the wall.
Does the canvas come with a frame?
No, the canvas ships on its own, rolled in a protective tube. Frames are sold separately: wooden frame up to 100 cm / 39 in per side, XXL wooden frame from 110 to 200 cm / 43 to 79 in, or aluminium frame in 8 finishes. The wooden kits are 2.5 cm / 1 in thick and come with instructions.
How do I clean a canvas print?
A dry microfibre cloth handles almost everything. For a mark that stays, use a barely damp cloth with no detergent, wiping across the surface. No abrasive sponge, no glass cleaner.
