Decorative rug2 colourways
The essentials. Decorative doormat with the oval Fairtex logo, on a white or a black ground. Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in, from €19 to €29. Non-slip gripper backing, machine washable.
Fairtex was founded in Bangkok in 1958 by Bunjong Busarakamwongs, and is now based in Pattaya. It is one of the oldest muay thai equipment makers still trading: sixty-eight years of stitching gloves, shin guards and bags for a sport where the gear takes elbows and knees as well as punches. The brand outfits fighters in ONE Championship, the Asian promotion that turned muay thai into a headline discipline.
What is printed
The oval Fairtex logo, ringed in blue and red with the name in white script, sits at the centre of the mat. Two versions exist: the design on a white ground, where the oval carries by its colours, and on a black ground, where the pale outline is what catches the eye.
On dark bathroom tiles the white version gives a sharp contrast; on light wood the black version marks out the zone.
Choosing your size
Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in. The size chart tells you which size matches which door.
Technical specifications
Good to know. The colourway is picked from the dropdown before the size. Both versions carry the same logo and the same price: only the ground changes.

Frequently asked questions
What size doormat should I choose?
40 x 60 cm / 16 x 24 in suits a 70 to 80 cm / 28 to 31 in door, 50 x 80 cm / 20 x 31 in a standard 90 cm / 35 in front door, and 60 x 90 cm / 24 x 35 in a double door or a kitchen sink front. Pick a mat slightly wider than the opening, otherwise people step around it instead of on it.
Can a doormat go in the washing machine?
This one can, then dry it flat. Flat drying keeps the gripper backing in shape, which is where every non-slip mat suffers in a tumble dryer.
How long has Fairtex been making muay thai gear?
Since 1958, the year Bunjong Busarakamwongs founded the company in Bangkok. It is one of the oldest equipment makers in the sport still trading, and is now based in Pattaya.
Should I take the white or the black ground?
The white ground carries on a dark floor, the black ground marks out a zone on light wood. Logo, sizes and price are identical either way.
Can it be used outdoors, in front of the entrance door?
It is built for indoor use: the surface is textile and absorbs moisture rather than scraping soles. Under a covered porch it holds up; in the open rain it stays wet. Its place is a room threshold, a bathroom, a kitchen or a sheltered balcony.
